Handling:
Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what´s normal when you´re a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? Clary would love to spend more time with her best friend, Simon. But the Shadowhunters won´t let her go - espcially her handsome, infuriating newfound brother, Jace.And Clary´s only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shawodhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil - and also her father. When the second of the Mortal Instruments is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor suspects Jace. Could Jace really be willing to betray everyhing he believes in to help heir father?

Vad jag tycker om boken:
Jag borde tagit fatt i denna boken tidigare och läst den eftersom jag läste City of Bones i Januari. I och med att jag nu läste den så sent så hade jag glömt lite små detaljer men jag kände inte att jag behövde läsa om första boken. Jag tyckte verkligen om City of Bones och kunde knappt lägga ifrån mig den boken. Nu i City of Ashes så tyckte jag inte att det hände lika mycket som i ettan, i varje fall så var den i alla fall inte lika spännande som första boken. Men jag älskar verkligen karaktärerna, speciellt Jace (som är rolig även om han själv inte försöker vara det) och Simon (just för att han är en så bra vän till Clary). Det finns en skön känsla, skön stämning, genom hela boken men jag hade velat se lite mer action. Det känns som att jag borde ha gillat boken mer i och med att alla säger att böckerna är bra och jag hoppas att tredje boken är bättre, mer spännande så som jag gillar det.
